PEACE DOVE Pendant - PRE ORDER CLOSED

A dove files through the sky with an olive branch in it’s mouth. A special new design I have made with an aim to raise money to aid to the people of Palestine.

The use of an olive branch to symbolise peace has been used by many cultures including the Ancient greeks. Their goddess Eirene, the Greek goddess of peace carried an olive branch, which they believed warded off evil spirits and represented plenty.

When looking up the history of the olive tree, I also found out that it has a long history in Palestine. It can represent the steadfastness of the people in an age of uprootedness.

“In the same way that the trees can survive and have deep roots in their land so, too, do the Palestinian people.” Sliman Mansour.

100% of the money from the bronze and 50% of the money from the silver pendants will be split between:

doctorswithoutborders (Médecins Sans Frontières) and UNICEF

Each pendant measures approx 1.7cm high x 1.3cm wide, not inc integral bail or jump ring. It is lightweight and has a 7mm outer diameter jump ring attached, which is soldered.

Each design is the same but the edges vary as they were made one by one. Each one therefore is unique to you.

Silver and 9ct gold pendants come with full UK hallmarks.

The pre-order listing will be open for a week, from 7pm on Friday 5th Jan to 7pm Friday 12th January. Once the window has closed, the designs will then be put into work. They will take approx 4 weeks to make in bronze, and 6-8 weeks in silver and gold.
