POSEY Flower Earring

The POSEY single earring is inspired by medieval depictions of flowers and the Posey rings given as wedding rings, which included motto’s inside the bands.

Single earrings were a popular sartorial statement for men in the Elizabethan and later Stuart periods. A famous example is the painting of Sir Walter Raleigh, who wears large teardrop shaped pearls in his left ear. The painting is part of the permanent collection at The National Portrait Gallery, London.

The individual raised, stylised flowers sit together to create a cruciform or cross design earring.

Each earring is made individually by hand one by one, so no two will every be exactly the same. The look of the earring you receive may differ very slightly from the ring pictured.

The measurements of the earring are approx: 2.3cm high by 2.3cm wide, not including the attached bail or ear hook.
